They obviously provide parking in their own building and yet they still charge guests to park there. It's not LA, where parking is at a premium. This hotel is some distance out of town, in the hills, surrounded by golf courses and open spaces, at the far western edge of the Tucson basin. The number one problem is their ridiculous charging-for-parking policy. But I still have plenty of beefs with this expensive property. ![]() This time around (July 2021) I found the staff considerably more friendly and helpful. I've experienced astonishing rudeness from staff and had multiple other problems in the past, but that's the past and I returned with an open mind. I have stayed at this property many times - not by choice, I assure you - but because it's required for business. ![]() Dinner at hotel restaurant Primo was ~$60 per person WITHOUT alcoholic beverages or dessert. Way, way, way overpriced, as are the restaurants. This is Tucson, Arizona in the hot, hot summer (low season), not Paris folks. Which one is it Starr Pass? Out of interest, I looked at the rates for today (a Wednesday) and it was a whopping $339 for a mid-range room, plus parking and whatever else they can come up with. I saw one sign indoors that said "Self-parking $5 per day," and a second one outdoors that said "Self-parking $15 per day," which is exorbitant. ![]()
